Zion Lewistown

Pastor Jim Williams will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. service Sunday at Zion Church in Lewistown Valley. Sunday School is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Zion Men will meet Saturday at 8 a.m. in Memorial Hall.

Rush-Ryan-Delano Seniors

The Rush-Ryan-Delano Senior Citizens met June 13 with 36 members and guest Eileen Keich in attendance.

A moment of silence was held for Dorothy Schmerfeld and Lois Millet.

Members celebrating birthdays this month include Bill Morrison, Cindy Godnis and Nancy Shuchart. Members on the sick list include Nancy Eisley and Lucille Spaar.

Refreshments were provided by Mundy and Neifert families, and sandwiches were made by Mike Mundy.

The next meeting will be held June 27 at the White Church. Anyone 55 years and older is welcome.

Lewistown Valley Garden Club

The Lewistown Valley Garden Club’s June 27 meeting will begin with lunch at 11:30 a.m. from Skip’s Bar & Grill (Skipper Dippers), Route 309 in Hometown. A tour of a private garden will follow. There will be no arrangements or specimen judging.

Tamaqua Seniors

The Tamaqua Senior Citizens met June 15 with 26 members in attendance.

The meeting was opened with the reading of “The Spirit of Love.” The group welcomed new member Jean Daubert.

The group meets at 1 p.m. every Thursday at the Coaldale Complex. Anyone 55 and older is invited to attend.

Calvary Lewistown

The Rev. Brian Reading of Schuylkill Haven will be the guest speaker at the 10:25 a.m. worship service Sunday for Calvary Evangelical Church, Lewistown Valley. The summer worship service will be held at the Lewistown Valley Tabernacle, 614 Valley Rd., Tamaqua. Sunday school for all ages is at 9:15 a.m.

There will be no evening services June 25 or July 2, or June 28 prayer and share, so folks can attend the Auburn Camp Meeting in Auburn.
