State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating the theft of an American flag from a flagpole at a property in Lower Towamensing Township.

Police said the victim is an 81-year-old Palmerton man who reported the flag was stolen between 8 p.m. June 7 and 9 a.m. June 8 at his property along Stoney Ridge Road.
