The Panther Valley Golden Agers will meet on June 12.

The Panther Valley Public Library will hold a summer reading program for ages 3 to 5 and 6 to 9.

The 3 to 5 age group will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesdays, June 28, July 12 and 19. The 6 to 9 age group will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Fridays, June 30, July 14 and 21.

To sign up, call the library at 570-645-3780 or email pvplib@ptd.net with your name, phone number and how many participants in each age group.

The library, located at 117 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, is open from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday.

Senior Center

The menu at the Panther Valley Senior Center for the week of June 12-16 is:

Monday: Onion Soup, Cheesesteak, Potato Wedges, Orange or Beef Club Sandwich

Tuesday: Chicken Tenders, Cheesy Rice, Green Beans, Tropical Fruit or Ham and Swiss Sandwich

Wednesday: Beef Patty, Mashed Potatoes, Mixed Vegetables, Applesauce or Beef and Bleu Salad

Thursday: Ranch Chicken, Red Potatoes, Vegetable Blend, Pudding or Chicken Caesar Wrap

Friday: BBQ Pork Sandwich, Chuckwagon Corn, Coleslaw, Peaches or Salad with Turkey

The center also has announced upcoming events for June 12-16.

Cornhole on June 12 at 11 a.m., Birthday Bingo on June 13 at 10:45 a.m., Po-Keeno on June 14 at 11 a.m., Sunshine Meeting on June 15 at 10 a.m. followed by Drumming Exercises at 11, and Movie and Popcorn on June 16 at 10 a.m.

Cards, pool, games, available daily from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
