Upgrades to Wildcat Park in Walker Township is set to begin with resurfacing the tennis and basketball courts and adding a pickleball court.
The work will be done July 19-21 by township employees and volunteers.
The cost for materials is approximately $9,500 and will be purchased from SealMaster of Allentown.
Additional improvements to the park will include new swings and a play structure for children, handicapped parking and pathways, and picnic tables and benches.
The total project is expected to cost approximately $80,000.
In other project matters, Walker Township Supervisors will advertise for bids for the 2023 road projects next week.
The base price for the project will be $135,000, which is for work on Catawissa Road, Mountain Road, and Valley Road. An additional $11,000 would include two alternate projects on another section of Valley Road and Shady Lane.
