State police at the Stroudsburg barracks said a sobriety checkpoint they conducted between May 26 to 29 in Monroe County resulted in nine drivers being arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance.

During the checkpoint, police also issued 36 traffic citations and 65 written warnings for violations of the state’s Motor Vehicle Code.
