Golden Agers

The Panther Valley Golden Agers met May 22 with 15 members in attendance. President Diane Gould opened the meeting with the reading “My Back Yard Sanctuary.”

The next meeting will be held on June 12.

PV Library

The Panther Valley Public Library will hold a summer reading program for ages 3-5 and 6-9.

The 3-5 age group will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesdays, June 28, July 12 and July 19. The 6-9 agre group will be held from 10-11 a.m. Fridays, June 30, July 14 and July 21.

The library, located at 117 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to noon and Thursdays from 5-7 p.m.

Senior Center

The menu at the Panther Valley Senior Center for the week of June 5-9 is:

Monday: Spaghetti and Meatball, Broccoli, Garden Salad, Pound Cake or Chicken and Cheese Sandwich

Tuesday: Breaded Fish, Macaroni and Cheese, Stewed Tomatoes, Cauliflower, Applesauce or Chef Salad with Turkey

Wednesday: Pork and Peas Carbonara, Pasta, Pineapples or Harvest Chicken Salad

Thursday: Garlic Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Wax Beans, Pudding or Beef and Cheese Sandwich

Friday: Cheese Lasagna, Spinach Salad, Peaches or Pesto Chicken Sandwich

The center also has announced upcoming events for June 5-16.

Po-Keeno on June 5 at 11 a.m.; Bingo on June 6 at 10:45; Balloon Tennis on June 7 at 11 a.m.; Games on June 8 at 10 a.m.; Now You Have It Now You Don’t on June 9 at 11 a.m.

Cornhole on June 12 at 11 a.m.; Birthday Bingo on June 13 at 10:45; Po-Keeno on June 14 at 11 a.m.; Sunshine Meeting on June 15 at 10 a.m. followed by Drumming Exercises at 11; Movie and Popcorn on June 16 at 10 a.m.

Cards, Pool, Games, available daily from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
