Inert grenades found in Northampton Co. home

The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop M, Belfast Patrol Unit, is investigating ordnance items that were discovered in Williams Township, Northampton County.

On May 20, at 10:47 a.m., troopers were dispatched to a residence on Flafair Drive, Williams Township, for the report of a grenade that was found inside the residence. Upon investigation, a second grenade was also discovered.

Both items were determined to be inert. The Bethlehem Bomb Squad was activated and dispatched to the residence, where they took possession of the ordnance.

Assisting at the scene was the Williams Township Fire Department and the state police K-9 unit.

Police said there were no injuries during this investigation; there was no danger to the public; and no charges pending related to this incident.
