State police at the Stroudsburg barracks are investigating a forgery, counterfeiting incident that they were called to at 8:18 p.m. April 25 at the Dollar General store in Hamilton Township.

Police said an unidentified black male suspect, wearing a surgical mask, black hoodie, white shirt and gray sweatpants, entered the store in an attempt to deposit counterfeit cash into a Cash App account, a service provided by the store.
