An employee at a ShopRite store in Monroe County was injured after a vehicle crashed through a store window as part of a two-car crash.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police said the crash occurred May 9 in the parking lot of Bill’s ShopRite in Mount Pocono when an elderly woman sped through the parking lot and struck another vehicle waiting for a parking space.

Her vehicle glanced off the other vehicle and then struck the racks of potted flowers on display outside the store.

One of the display racks shattered a store window, injuring a cashier at the checkout counter inside.

The elderly driver and the cashier were both transported to the hospital for minor injuries.
