Children and families are invited to the annual Community Safety Day on Saturday at Mauch Chunk Lake Park.

The event, hosted by Carbon County Kids Zone, state Sen. David Argall and Rep. Doyle Heffley and the Carbon County Commissioners, aims to teach children about a variety of safety related topics, from fires to water to bicycle safety and everything in between.

The day will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will be held rain or shine.

Community Safety Day was last held in 2019.
