Engle on primary ballot for Pl. Valley school board

Erika Engle announces she is a candidate for Pleasant Valley School Board.

“I’m excited to announce that I’m throwing my hat in the ring and running for the Pleasant Valley School Boar,” Engle said.

“As a graduate, a parent of a graduate and the daughter of a senior citizen in the district it is my priority to bring passion, compassion and empathy to our board, as we make our district stronger.”

“As a dedicated parent, volunteer and community member, I understand the importance of a quality education. That’s why I am committed to serving our district and working tirelessly to ensure that students have access to resources and support they need to reach their goals,” she said.

“It is my belief that the school board should be responsive and receptive to parents, staff, students and the community and that an open dialogue with respect for one another, should be encouraged and supported,” she said.

Engle said she believes a school board member should build public understanding, support and participation.

“The board should willingly and openly take input from all groups and weigh all the facts before making a decision,” Engle said.

“My efforts as a board member would center on serving all of the children in the community, the parents/guardians and our staff while embracing this awesome community.”

She said she has the professional and interpersonal skills and expertise to make a difference on the board.

“I am excited to meet and connect with everyone and hear thoughts, ideas, concerns and success stories,” Engle said. “Let’s work together to make our District the envy of the state.”
