Lioness Club hosts community carnival Thursday-Saturday

Are you looking to get out and enjoy great weather, food, rides and more? If so you’ll want to visit the Lehighton Community Carnival hosted by the Lehighton Area Lioness Lions Club on Thursday and Friday from 4-10 p.m. and Saturday from 2-10 p.m.. at the Lehighton Boys and Girls Band Hall, located at 197 N 6th St in Lehighton.

Enjoy homemade foods including haluski, filling, chicken BBQ, chicken bowls, walk-away tacos, hamburgers, and cheeseburgers.

And if you’ve been longing for those summer favorites including French fries, funnel cake, chicken fingers, cotton candy, candy apples, ice cream cones and sundaes, there will be food trucks with these items as well.

Justine Strohl, co-chair for the event, said outdoor and indoor counter service and seating will be available in the band hall. When carnival goers finish their savory eats, they can browse the vendors and the raffle area located inside the band hall.

There will be a ride special on Thursday from 4-10 p.m., and Saturday from 2-6 p.m.

Regular ride tickets and games will also be available all three days.

Free face painting and projects for the kids will be available during limited hours on Thursday evening. The Bees Knees will entertain from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.

On Saturday there will be a children’s bicycle drawing at 7 p.m. Children must be present to win.
