Tamaqua borough police released information on recent cases:

• Police charged Kristin Brode, 54, with defiant trespass after she was found inside a property she was previously evicted from.

Officers were dispatched to a home on the 100 block of Patterson Street at 9:15 p.m. April 9 for an ambulance call. While there, police saw Brode, who had once lived at the residence.

Police said the property had been condemned because Brode did not pay her water bills. She was previously warned not to be at the residence, police said.

• Police charged Aimee Balukonis, 36, of Hazleton, with disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession offensive weapons following an April 16 incident.

Police said they were contacted at 7:25 a.m. by a man who asked about drug rehabilitation programs for Balukonis. The man told police that he no longer wanted her visiting him at his apartment because she was using drugs. Officers attempted to speak to Balukonis but she was not receptive to rehabilitation.

A half-hour later, police were dispatched to the Tamaqua Hi-Rise parking lot for an argument between a man and woman. While there, they received another call for a disturbance near Burger King.

Police said they could hear yelling and located Balukonis and the man.

Officers told Balukonis to stop yelling but she did not listen. As police were taking her into custody, she threw her purse to the side. Police said drug paraphernalia and brass knuckles were inside.
