May 1, 2013 - Palmerton’s Kendra Pekurny pitches a one-hit shutout to lead the Blue Bombers to a 7-0 Colonial League victory over Northwestern. Pekurny just misses a no-hitter as the Tigers’ Stephanie Papp bloops a single down the right field line with two outs in the seventh inning. Pekurny ends with three walks and seven strikeouts. Janel Tracy collects three hits, scores two runs and adds three RBIs to lead Palmerton offensively. The winners, coached by Glenn Reimer, also receive two hits and a pair of runs from Sam Doherty, while Pekurny and Abby Reimer both finish with two hits and an RBI.
