Luzerne fugitive caught by police in Monroe Co.

A Luzerne County man who was a wanted fugitive has been apprehended.

At 2:50 a.m. Sunday, Pocono Mountain Regional Police assisted the U.S. Marshals with the arrest of Maz Liebetrau, 22, of Kingston, who was identified as a fugitive from an arrest warrant issued out of Luzerne County for an incident involving Wilkes University.

Liebetrau was located in the 100 block of Split Rock Lane, Pocono Pines, and taken into custody without incident.

He was placed in the Monroe County Correctional Facility to be taken back to Luzerne County at a later time.
