A parade will be held at 1 p.m. May 20 in Weissport’s borough park to celebrate Armed Forces Day.

The grand marshal will be Maj. Gen. Jay Barry, a U.S. Air Force Academy graduate.

The parade will honor local graduates of the U.S. military academies and will include the Lehighton Area High School Marching Band.

The borough will have a community yard sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 3 in the borough park.

The cost to rent a 10-foot by 10-foot space is $10 if paid in advance or $12 if paid the day of the yard sale.

Participants must provide their own tables and chairs, and take all unsold items home. Contact Jess at 201-214-9086 to reserve spaces.

Weisstock Festival will be Sept. 1 and Sept. 2. It will run from 5-10 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday. There will be food, games, rides for the kids, contests, entertainment, a cake walk, etc.
