Tamaqua School Board personnel

Tamaqua Area School board approved the following, director, adviser positions this week:

Marsha Rodger, assistant band director, middle school band director and elementary band director; Samantha Bubel, band silk adviser and elementary choral director; John Buglio, high school choral director, middle school choral director, volunteer band assistant; Adriane Drum, drama club adviser; Ruth Gardiner, Colleen Barrett and Randa Ray, drama club assistants; Johanna Ulicny, drama club marketing director, Mark Betz, auditorium/stage/audio visual manager.

Also, Millini Skuba, sophomore class adviser; Nathan Halenar, junior class adviser; Amanda Hascin, senior class adviser; Stephen Ulicny, student government adviser; Amanda Woodring and Cathy Miorelli, Step Up and Aevidum co-advisors; Kristen Klingaman, biology club, environmental club and science NHS adviser; Kiersten Rivera, NHS adviser.

Also, Megan Frantz, middle school student council, NJHS and eighth grade adviser; Michael Murphy, middle school Math Counts, Lego club and yearbook adviser; Megan Frantz and Autumn Pedron, middle school 6th Sense and ACE co-advisors, Denise Drum and Kelly Kilimowitch, Aevidum co-advisors; Emilie Baker, Abigail Graver and Angela Faust, elementary assistant gaming coaches; Jamie Mateyak, volunteer band assistant.

The board also approved substitute teachers, guest teachers, part-time paraprofessionals, department chairs, liaison teachers, as follows: Brynn Gigli, New Ringgold, substitute; Grised Garcia, Middleport, guest; Konstantine Georgiades, New Ringgold, guest; Alexa Murray, Lost Creek, guest; Ravin Walker, McAdoo, and Kara Gallagher, New Ringgold, part-time paraprofessional at $12 an hour.

Also, John Matulevich, high school business education chair; Cathy Miorelli, high school extended services chair; Jennifer Curcio, high school fine and practical arts chair; Jillian Tuckett, high school language arts chair; Kristen Klingaman, high school science chair; Amanda Hascin, high school world language chair; Kristine Schellhammer, middle school language arts chair; Megan Frantz, middle school math chair; Lauren Ahner, middle school science chair; Charlene Shannon, middle school social studies chair; Jacqueline Murphy, middle school special education chair; Andrew Michalik, Tamaqua Elementary, liaison teacher, grades kindergarten to three; Alexa Hauer, Tamaqua Elementary, liaison teacher, grades three to five; Dawn Walsh, Tamaqua Elementary, special education liaison; Dana Rottet, West Penn Elementary, liaison, grades kindergarten to two; Angela Faust, West Penn Elementary, liaison, grades three to five; and Jennifer Kinder, West Penn Elementary special education liaison.

The board also hired Amanda Boyer, registered nurse, of Lansford, as a substitute nurse, and Madeline Coccio, Tamaqua, confidential secretary at a salary of $34,500.
