State police at Fern Ridge report on incidents

State police at Fern Ridge report on the following incidents:

• Rene Hetrick, 41, of Saylorsburg, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child after police were called to a residence on Rolling Pines Drive in Chestnuthill Township.

Police said they received a ChildLine referral that indicated Hetruick was allowing a 14-year-old girl from Saylorsburg to use the vape pen whenever she desires between October of last year and March 14.

The girl provided them written details of the ongoing issue.

• A 53-year-old woman from Blakeslee is facing charges of assault after police were summoned to an incident at 2:41 p.m. March 23.

Police said they went to a property at Sunapee Lane and Yellowstone Drive in Chestnuthill Township, where a 52-year-old Blakeslee man, reported the assault.

• Police are investigating a rape incident in Chestnuthill Township that was reported to them at 9:30 p.m. March 23.

A 20-year-old Saylorsburg woman reported that a sexual assault by a man took place on Majestic Drive in the township.

• A 75-year-old Brodheadsville man was cited for harassment by threaten/physical contact after police were summoned to an incident at 6:51 p.m. April 4 at a property on Pohopoco Drive in Chestnuhtill Township.

The victim is a 61-year-old man from Brodheadsville.

• Police said a 62-year-old woman from Brodheadsville reported a theft/crime by deception incident at 8:51 a.m. March 14.

Police said they were called to a residence on Route 115 in Chestnuthill Township where the woman reported someone opened a credit card in her name and charged $810.90 to it.

• Police are investigating a theft by deception incident in which someone opened a bank account in the name of a 52-year-old woman from Saylorsburg without authorization.

• A 20-year-old Nazareth man is facing drug possession charges after a traffic stop at 12:10 a.m. March 24 at the intersection of Route 115 and Meixsell Valley Road in Ross Township.

• Police are investigating a burglary at a residence on Fairground Road in Chestnuthill Township. Police said it was reported at 9:47 a.m. March 4. No other details were provided.

• A 48-year-old Saylorsburg woman reported a burglary to police.

Police said they were called at 1:29 p.m. April 5 to a residence on the 2200 block of Route 209, Chestnuthill Township to investigate the break-in.

• Police are investigating the case of a denial of a firearm sale or transfer.

Police said they were called to a business on Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township at 2:05 p.m. Sept. 7, 2021, when they were notified of a person who is not allowed to possess a gun attempted to purchase one.

• Police are investigating a theft that a 70-year-old Saylorsburg man reported.

Police said they were called at 11:48 a.m. March 15 to a residence at 114 Horizon Court, Chestnuthill Township, where the man reported $200 was withdrawn from his checking account without authorization.

• Police were summoned to a domestic incident at 12:35 a.m. March 19, but a 23-year-old woman from Kunkletown requested no charges be filed in the incident.

It happened at a residence along Birch Lane in Chestnuthill Township when the woman and another person involved in a fight.
