A workshop to address a host of topics, most notably its controversial zoning ordinance, is on tap for West Penn Township.
Board Chairman Tony Prudenti reminded residents at Monday morning’s board of supervisors meeting that the session will be held at 3 p.m. May 1.
Prudenti said the zoning ordinance, along with the International Property Maintenance Code and peddling ordinance, are to be discussed.
The board’s regular monthly meeting will follow at 6 p.m.
Also on Monday, Prudenti said that the board received a thank-you letter for considering ordinances about junk properties.
“Years ago, everyone was against an ordinance cleaning up the township,” he said.
Prudenti said that now appears to have changed.
