Sign-ups are being held for a new AMVETS organization on Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. at the Nesquehoning VFW, 300 E. Center St.

Anyone who still holds membership in posts that have closed and any new prospects are welcome. Bring a copy of your DD214. All branches of the service, war or peacetime, are invited. At least 25 are needed.
