Police: restaurant burglar tried to cook fries

State police at the Frackville barracks are investigating a burglary that happened at 2:35 a.m. Sunday at McDonald’s, 3 Lincoln Drive, Hometown.

Police said an unknown suspect forced his way through a locked door in the business. While inside, the suspect unsuccessfully attempted to access a locked safe and locked cash register drawers. The suspect also stole and ate a cinnamon roll and attempted to cook French fries, police said.

He is described as having been wearing a black T-shirt with the letters DBI on the front of it, as well as the phrase “one team, one dream” printed on the back. The suspect is a white male with collar-length black or brown hair. Police said he has a full beard and mustache and appears to be an average height with a stocky build and tattoos on his right forearm.
