Richard E. Hudson has been named president and chief executive officer of the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton. The appointment was announced by John E. Esrang, chairman of the hospital’s board of directors.

Before coming to Lehighton, Hudson served as the executive vice president of St. Francis Hospital, Wilmington, Delaware. Previously, he was the administrator of the Baker Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina. He holds a master’s degree in health administration from the Medical College of Virginia. Hudson and his wife, Patty, are the parents of two sons, Ben and Patrick.
