An Albrightsville man has been charged with attempting to strangle his wife during an argument.

At 4:34 p.m. April 4, state police at Fern Ridge were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 100 block of Lamaden Drive, Chestnuthill Township.

Housenick spoke with a woman, who said that Peter Dale, 56, began drinking early in the morning and attacked her when he discovered that she was not going to work because she was sick.

The woman said that Dale said her breathing was interrupted for several seconds. She said Dale had on her the ground.

She had bruises on her neck.

Dale faces charges of strangulation, simple assault and harassment.

He is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing May 26 before District Judge Colleen Mancuso of Brodheadsville. He was released on $40,000 bail.
