Zion Lewistown

Pastor Jim Williams will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. worship service this Sunday at Zion Church Lewistown Valley. Sunday school is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.

Women’s Bible Study will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday in Memorial Hall.

Rush-Ryan Seniors

The Rush-Ryan-Delano senior citizens met on March 28 with 39 members in attendance. New member John Herring was given a warm welcome. Larry Bower and Pat Valsek were wished a Happy Birthday and Roberta Hollenback was added to the sick list.

Refreshments were donated and served by Kim Usalis. Easter favors were donated by Kim Usalis and Doris Brobst. St. Patty’s Day favors were donated by Fred Herb.

The group meets the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 1 p.m. at the White Church, Barnesville. Anyone 55 and older is invited to attend.

Tamaqua Seniors

The Tamaqua Senior Citizens met on April 6. The meeting was opened with the reading “Assurance.”

April birthday were recognized and included Gladys Arner and Antoinette Triano. Two Easter baskets were chanced off. Winners were Gladys Arner and Joyce Krell.

Pending on the schedule is an indoor picnic at the complex.

The group meets every Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Coaldale Complex. Anyone 55 and older is invited to attend.

Calvary Lewistown

Guest speaker Rev. Brian Reading of Schuylkill Haven will offer the message at the 10:25 a.m. worship service at Calvary Evangelical Church, Lewistown Valley. Sunday school is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. There will be no evening service. Prayer and share on Wednesday, April 19 at 7 p.m.

Tamaqua Pool Passes

H.D. Buehler Memorial Pool will open on Saturday, May 27 at 11 a.m.

Applications for season passes are available at the following locations: Tamaqua Municipal Building, Tamaqua Post Office, Tamaqua Public Library, Fegley’s Mini-Mart. They are also available at the borough website at https://tamaquaborough.com/ and on the borough Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/TamaquaBorough.

Application forms, including payment and proof of residency, must be returned to the Tamaqua Municipal Building, 320 East Broad Street, Tamaqua, PA 18252. Checks and money orders must be made payable to “Borough of Tamaqua”. Application forms and proof of residency (copy of driver’s license or photo ID) may be dropped off, mailed, or placed in the drop box at the main entrance.

American Primitive

The Rev. Rick Clemson will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. worship service Sunday in American Primitive Methodist Church. Sunday school scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Recorded message is available at www.facebook.com/PMChurch Tamaqua.
