State police at Lehighton - DUI

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported six people were charged after traffic stops they made recently for motor vehicle code violations. Police did not release names:

• A 21-year-old Philadelphia man was charged with possession of a controlled substance and related paraphernalia after he was stopped in the 200 block of Interchange Road in Polk Township at 2:27 p.m. March 27.

• A 49-year-old Kunkletown man was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance after he was stopped at 3:26 a.m. March 25 at the intersection of Weir Mountain and Gilbert roads in Polk Township.

• A 20-year-old Nazareth man was charged with possession of a con trolled substance after he was stopped at 12:10 a.m. March 24 at the intersection of Route 115 and Meixsell Valley Road n Ross Township.

• A 17-year-old Whitehall boy was charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia after he was stopped at 7:09 p.m. March 22 at 450 Oak St. in Towamensing Township.

• A 39-year-old Lehighton man was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia after he was stopped at 10:02 p.m. March 21 at the intersection of Forest Inn and Interchange roads in Towamensing Township.

• A 33-year-old Saylorsburg man was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance at 8:46 p.m. March 21 at the intersection of Route 115 and the Kunkletown Road in Ross Township.
