Mt. Airy Casino recognizes employees

Mount Airy Casino Resort, one of the largest private employers in Monroe County, recently hosted its annual Team Member of the Year recognition ceremony.

More than 50 employees and their guests attended the cocktail hour and sit-down dinner held at the Mount Airy Event Center on March 21.

The event honored 17 Mount Airy employees who were nominated Team Member of the Month by department directors for their outstanding contributions to the continued success of the Four Diamond casino and resort.

Out of the 17 in the running, two employees were awarded Team Member of the Year accolades: Angela Adkins, a table games dealer, and Laura Insinga-Gallardo, a public area attendant.

Both women have been with Mount Airy since 2011.

“This group of exceptional employees demonstrates how every one of us has an important role to play at Mount Airy,” said Lisa DeNaples, Mount Airy owner and managing trustee.

“Our commitment to teamwork is the key to our success as Pennsylvania’s premier casino and resort. These employees represent the best of Mount Airy.”

The entire list of employees honored at the recognition dinner includes Sommur Connor, IT and applications manager; Asia Davis, environmental services supervisor; Derek Bright, EVS-Public area attendant; Dipti Patel, income audit manager; Matthew Rendon, EVS-public area attendant; Dave Clemens, property operations shift lead; Troy Van Why, warehouse lead; Sawyer Strom, table games dealer; Howard Dingle, security officer; Gage Rogan, slots attendant; Matthew Maldonado, payroll clerk; Luna Diaz, pool server; Mark Libbey, property operations/general maintenance; Lachea Joyner, steward; and Timothy Davis, EVS-public area attendant.

Mount Airy Casino and Resort employs close to 900 people and is actively recruiting to fill a variety of positions.
