PTO meeting

The Pleasant Valley Elementary PTO is meeting this afternoon at 4 p.m.

PV Orchestra

The Pleasant Valley 4th grade orchestra presentation is scheduled for two days, tonight and Friday from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m.

PV Board

The Pleasant Valley School District Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Primetimers meet

Pleasant Valley Assembly of God Church, Brodheadsville, is hosting the Primetimers at noon on Friday. Folks 50 years or older are invited for a time of fellowship. Participants are asked to bring a dish to share.

Other activities at the church include: Girlfriends meeting on April 15, for all girls young and old, with the purpose of getting to know one another and growing in the Word together. For the registration link, contact the church.

And on Sunday, the church will hold a Water Baptism service.

Legion Auxiliary

The Legion Auxiliary of Post 927, Gilbert, will meet at 7 p.m.

Bible study

McMichaels UMC is hosting a Bible study every Thursday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. on Zoom.

Call Pastor Ed at 610-597-1030 if interested in joining the study.

Garden opens

The Garden of Giving is ready to reawaken. Official opening day is Saturday. The planting of early spring cool-weather crops will commence. Onions and lettuce will be planted as soon as volunteers have cleared the planting beds of all the winter debris.

Other work has already been done.

Being sought are board members with various talents.

Prepped dinner

St. Peter’s UMC, Saylorsburg, will serve its drive-through roast beef takeout dinner on Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m.

Preorders have been accepted since March 22. One may still call 570-992-7311 and leave one’s name, phone number, and number of meals requested or email domehome@ptd.net with the same information.

Cubs registration

The PV Cubs registration for football players and cheerleaders, ages 4 to 12 is now open. For more information go to www.pvcubs.com.

Consignment sale

The Pocono Old Tyme Farm Equipment Association is holding its consignment sale on Saturday at the West End Fairgrounds.

Persons are invited to bring what they no longer need and turn it into cash.

Said items may be consigned Thursday and Friday. The sale will be held on Saturday. No items will be consigned on the day of the sale. Food vendors will be available on the premises.

Registration due

Girlfriends Painting Class at Pleasant Valley Assembly of God Church will be held at 3:30 p.m., April 29. For members of PVAG, the registration fee must be paid by this Saturday.

Sunday breakfast

The Polk Township Volunteer Fire Company and Ladies Auxiliary will be serving an all-you-can eat buffet breakfast Sunday. It will be held from 7 to 11 a.m.

Riders meet

The American Legion Riders will have its monthly meeting at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the Post home in Gilbert

Sportsmen’s Day

The Kunkletown Rod & Gun Club is holding Sportsmen’s Day on Sunday from 12:30 to 4 p.m., with doors opening at 11 a.m., at 122 Gun Club Lane in Saylorsburg.

There is a cost, which includes refreshments. There will be any number of prizes

Polk Auxiliary sale

The Ladies Auxiliary of the Polk Township Volunteer Fire Company is holding a hoagie sale, as made by Thomson’s Meat Market.

Orders are due by Tuesday. Call Gail at 610-681-5716 to order and other related information. Order pickup is April 25 at the firehouse in Kresgeville.

VALOR Support

The VALOR PSTD Support Group which meets at the American Legion Post 927 home will gather at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Choir concert

PVJH choir concert will take place Tuesday, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the A Gym.

Free dinner

Zion Lutheran Church, Brodheadsville, will hold a free drive-through dinner from 5 to 6 p.m. next Wednesday.
