State police Easter traffic enforcement

The Pennsylvania State Police Troop M-Bethlehem announces that the official Easter holiday enforcement period begins at 12:01 a.m. Friday and ends at 11:59 p.m. Sunday.

The Pennsylvania Aggressive Driving Enforcement Education Program targets drivers who aggressively operate their vehicle, which includes speeding, seat belt violations and child seat belt infractions.

In addition, the Selective Traffic Enforcement Against Drunk Drivers and Drug Recognition Expert Troopers will focus on motorists who operate their vehicles under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

The Bethlehem barracks will be also have DUI checkpoints set up in Northampton County Friday through Sunday.
