A Palmerton man was killed Saturday morning in a head-on collision in Kunkletown.

Police said Randy L. Frable Jr., 41, was killed at 9:56 a.m. on Kunkletown Road, just east of Silver Spring Boulevard.

State police at Lehighton said a driver from Bethlehem was traveling West in a 2008 Ford-150XLT, when he became distracted by trying to retrieve an object he dropped. The unnamed driver left his lane and crossed over the line. Police said when he realized he had left his lane, he swerved and attempted to come back into his lane, hitting in an attempt to at hit a 2008 Kia Sportage driven by Frable.

Police said Frable was pronounced dead at the scene by the Monroe County Coroner.
