Franklin man concerned with burning in township

A Franklin Township resident has voiced concerns with burning taking place in the community.

Eric Christman told supervisors last week people have been getting massive headaches, and that the situation has become a real nuisance.

“Everybody in the community is having this problem,” Christman said.

The board said it would get together and see where the ordinance is and put it under unfinished business to be discussed at next month’s meeting.

Also on Tuesday, Christman said trucks are damaging Phifer’s/Wagner Street.

Board Chairman Fred Kemmerer Jr. said he believes the board should discuss the matter with its police chief.

“The start is to talk to Chief (Jason) Doll,” Kemmerer said. “We want to make sure we have the ability to follow through.”

Supervisor Robin Cressley said the township also sees the same on Indian Hill Road and Overlook Drive.

Kemmerer added no one likes to see things get destroyed.
