One person died in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday in Franklin Township, according to the Franklin Township Police Department.

The crash happened at 2:40 p.m. on Pohopoco Drive in the area of Green Street.

Police, emergency personnel and citizens tended to the injured at the scene, with one person being taken to St. Luke’s University Hospital-Carbon Campus where the person died.

Franklin Township Police Department, with assistance from the Pennsylvania State Police, are investigating.

Franklin Township fire police maintained traffic control at the scene shutting down the road.
