Marian grad Karnish competes at NCAA DIII Indoor Track & Field Championships

Marian Catholic High School graduate Brenna Karnish recently competed in the women’s weight throw at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field National Championships, held at the CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama.

She was seeded 20th entering the competition, and finished 14th with a throw of 16.63m (54’ 6.75”).

At the 2023 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships held at the Alvernia University PLEX from Feb. 24–25, Karnish placed first in women’s shot put (42’ 10.75”)and 1st in women’s weight throw (53’ 6.5”).

At the 2023 All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference (AARTFC) Indoor Track & Field Championships held at The Armory in New York City from March 3-4, Karnsih placed second in the weight throw (56’ 1”)and 4th in shot put (42’ 2”).

She was recently named to the Fall MAC All-Sportsmanship Team.

Karnish is a graduate student at Misericordia University and is pursuing a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree.

She currently holds the Misericordia women’s indoor/outdoor shot put, weight throw, and hammer records.
