Easter events

• The East Brunswick Township Buildings, 35 W. Catawissa St., New Ringgold, will hold an Easter egg hunt at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Children from birth to 12 are invited. The event will be held rain or shine.

• East Penn will host an Easter Egg Hunt at 1 p.m. March 25 at East Penn Community Park, for children ages 1-12. The Easter bunny will be on site for photos.

• Ben Salem UCC in Lehighton will have a free egg hunt open to the public in conjunction with their spring bazaar, at 11 a.m. March 25. Line up at 10:45 at old social hall, 1749 Church Hill Road, Lehighton. Any questions, contact Kristen at 570-778-2614.

• Cornerstone Community Church, Polk Township Road, Kresgeville, is holding an egg hunt on April 1 from 3 to 5 p.m., rain or shine. The egg hunt is for toddlers through 4th grade, with prizes and raffles for older children. There is also a time for a spring family photo and an Easter story book walk. There will be refreshments, including cotton candy, popcorn, ice cream and beverages. Everything is free.

• Zion Lutheran Church, Brodheadsville, is hosting a free community Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m. on April 2. It is for all ages up to and including Grade 5. There will be games, food, an egg hunt and the Easter bunny will be available for photos as well as lots of fun and prizes.

• The annual Easter egg hunt at the Packerton Old Timer’s Club will be held at 2 p.m. on April 2. The event is open to all children ages 1-12. There will be tricky trays, raffles and prizes for the kids. Food and drink will also be available.

• Ross Township park committee is planning a free Easter egg hunt at 11 a.m. April 8.

• New England Fire Company has several events planned: March 31, ham ticket drawing; April 7, Kids Easter Egg Hunt and fire house filling sale; April 7, Good Friday seafood combo dinner - 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m.; May 13.

• Country Junction will host free egg hunts at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. April 1, 2 and 8; pictures with Easter bunny, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 1, 2 and 8. Contact events@countryjunction.com or call 610-333-5354.

• Get your Easter basket ready and join us for the St. Matthew’s UCC community Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m. April 8. This hunt is for babies and children up to age 12. They will hunt for eggs by age groups. Afterward, there will be a snack, craft, games, and time to visit with the Easter bunny. Parents: don’t forget your camera and the basket. The event will be held in the church grove, located at 124 Picnic Lane, Kunkletown. In the event of extreme rain or flooding, the event will move indoors to the church, 102 Church Road, Kunkletown. • Diligent Fire Company #3, 330 Center Ave., Jim Thorpe, April 1, from 1-2 p.m., drive-through Easter egg and candy handout by the Easter bunny and assisting firemen. Please enter the drive-through from School Alley and exit onto Center Avenue.

• Pleasant Valley Presbyterian Church, on Pilgrim Way, Brodheadsville, is hosting a community egg hunt from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., April 8. In addition to the egg hunt, there will be pictures with the Easter Bunny, a bouncy house, arts & crafts and the Snack Shack will be open for food & drink.

• St. Peter’s UMC, Saylorsburg, invites the community’s children to participate in its reinstated Easter Egg Hunt on April 8. Children ages 2 to 10 are invited to hunt for colorful, candy-filled eggs on the lawn of St. Peter’s United Methodist Church, at 924 Route 115, Saylorsburg. The start time is 10 a.m. Children should bring a basket or bag for collecting the eggs.
