Members of the Lutheran and United Church of Christ congregations of the Jerusalem Union Church, Trachsville, Towamensing Township, gathered Sunday to pay homage to the church that has sustained them for the past 150 years during a special service.

After visitors and members of the congregation looked over memorabilia arranged on long tables in the Sunday school rooms, and lively spiritual music was provided by the combined choirs headed by Nancy Embrey, the church’s two pastors – the Rev. Charles Stetler of the Lutheran charge and the Rev. Becky Beckwith, UCC pastor – presided over the service that was part of the church’s ongoing 150th anniversary celebration.
