Track and Field Roundup: Results from March 21

Palmerton and Northwestern both recorded sweeps in Colonial League track and field action on Tuesday.

The Blue Bombers downed Salisbury, while the Tigers took care of Wilson.

Elsewhere, Northern Lehigh split with Pen Argyl.

Palmerton-Salisbury

Palmerton soared past Salisbury in a Colonial League meet.

The Bombers posted a 130-20 win in the boys competition, and recorded a 125-24 victory in the girls meet.

Nataly Walters posted wins in four events - the triple jump, long jump, 100 and 200. Walters set a new school record in the long jump with a distance of 18-11. Gretchen Schiable also had multiple wins, capturing the discus and javelin.

In boys action, Bryson Walters won both hurdling (110, 300) events and also took the long jump. Other multiple winners included Ty Sander (100 and 200), Owen Hibell (1600 and 3200) and Zack Anthony (shot put and discus).

Northwestern-Wilson

Northwestern swept Wilson in a Colonial League meet.

The Tigers posted a 105-44 win in the girls meet and recorded an 84-66 victory in the boys competition.

Faith Yost won four events for the Tigers, placing first in the 100 hurdles, 300 hurdles, high jump and long jump. Katie Brensinger also was a multple winner, taking the shot put and discus.

Samuel Bower (800), Matthew Santana (3200), Gavin Nelson (high jump), Cayden Kuhns (pole vault), Andrew Diehl (triple jump), Colin Myers (discus) and Jackson Bailey (javelin) all had wins in the boys meet for Northwestern.

The Pen Argyl boys and girls posted wins over Northern Lehigh in a Colonial League meet.

The Green Knights won the boys meet 82-58, and posted a 101-47 victory in the girls contest.

Katelynn Barthold (800, 1600), Dekota Barthold (100 hurdles, javelin) and Kendall Snyder (long jump, triple jump) all had multiple wins in the girls meet, while Mikayla Gordon (400), Emma Heil (3200), Caitlin Kirk (discus) and Zoe Hathaway (high jump) also picked up wins.

Alexander Jimenez Wittong (200), Zaid Salid (1600), Izaiah Ramos (110H), Bailey Smith (300H) and Nick Frame (high jump) had wins for the Bulldogs in the boys meet.
