Pennsylvania State Police Fern Ridge

Pennsylvania State Police at Fern Ridge reported the following incidents:

• A 12 year-old boy from Effort will be charged with harassment and disorderly conduct for fighting with a 15-year-old boy on a school bus in Chestnuthill Township on Feb. 16.

• A 38-year-old Stroudsburg man was charged with harassment for choking, punching and kicking his wife during a 10:33 p.m. incident on Feb. 15 in Jackson Township. The man was also in possession of marijuana.

• A 49-year-old man from Effort will be charged with driving under the influence of drugs following a 12:12 a.m. Feb. 17 traffic stop in Chestnuthill Township. He was taken to the Monroe County Correctional Facility.

• A-41 year-old man, no address provide, was charged with possession of illegal drugs following a 11:26 a.m. Feb. 17 traffic stop on Route 115 in Tobyhanna Township.

• A 32-year-old Frackville man was charged with drug possession following a 4:18 p.m. Feb. 17 traffic stop on Interstate 80 in Tobyhanna Township.

• A 27-year-old woman from Effort was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop for vehicle code violations at 1:37 a.m. Feb. 19 on Sugar Hollow Road in Chestnuthill Township.

• Troopers continue to investigate damages to a wooden bench and glass window at the West End Fairgrounds in Chestnuthill Township. The incident was reported on Feb. 19.

• A 26-year-old woman from Brodheadsville was charged with harassment after she struck a 42-year-old woman in the face at 9:46 a.m. Feb. 20 on Dal Drive in Chestnuthill Township.

• Two women from Effort were charged with harassment following a fight that occurred at 7:38 p.m. Feb. 20 in Penn Forest Township.

Troopers said a 34-year-old woman struck a 35-year-old woman in the face, which injured her left eye. The 35-year-old then hit and kicked the woman, causing minor injuries.

• Troopers are investigating a theft that was reported at 6:46 p.m. Feb. 21, when a person gained access to a 60-year-old Saylorsburg woman’s PayPal account and used it for a $479 purchase.

• Troopers are investigating an incident of extortion and dissemination of an intimate image that occurred on Feb. 24 in Chestnuthill Township. Police said the victim, a 21-year-old Saylorsville man, transferred $200 to the suspect from his bank account.

• A 24-year-old from Brooklyn, New York, reported that she was harassed on Walnut Lane in Penn Forest Township at 1:07 p.m. Feb. 26.

• A 57-year-old Effort man was taken into custody on an active arrest warrant at 3:59 p.m. Feb. 26. Troopers said he was riding his bike on Red Pine Road in Chestnuthill Township when he was stopped, then attempted to run away.

Troopers did not identify the people in the above incidents.
