Silverado flips onto side in crash

A 2001 Chevrolet Silverado flipped onto its side in a crash that happened at 6:45 a.m. March 8 at the intersection of Correll and Kunkletown roads in Eldred Township.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said the driver, who they did not identify, was uninjured and drove the vehicle from the scene after a towing company flipped it back onto its wheels.

Police said the vehicle was southbound on Correll Road when the operator lost control of it, causing it to leave the roadway and travel onto a raised berm before it entered Kunkletown Road sideways, at which time it rolled onto its side.

Police said the vehicle sustained minor damages.

The driver, who was not named by police, was cited for the crash.
