The menu at the Panther Valley Senior Center for the week of March 20-24 is:

Monday: Sausage and peppers sandwich, vegetable blend, apple slices or deli sandwich

Tuesday: Tomato soup, cheeseburger, potato wedges, peaches or tuna sandwich

Wednesday: Chicken marsala, mashed potatoes, wax beans, pound cake or BBQ chicken salad

Thursday: Chicken Casserole, broccoli, salad, pudding or ham and cheese sandwich

Friday: Cheese tortellini, Italian vegetables, fruit and cookie or chicken, ham and cheese sandwich

The center has announced upcoming events until March 31:

Games on March 20 at 11 a.m.; Bingo on March 21 at 10:45 a.m.; Chair Exercise on March 22 at 11 a.m.; Po-Keeno on March 23 at 11 a.m.; Movie and Pizza on March 24 at 10 a.m.

Balloon Tennis on March 27 at 11 a.m.; Bingo on March 28 at 10:45 a.m.; Po-Keeno on March 29 at 11 a.m.; Horseracing on March 30 at 11 a.m.; Senior Game Practice on March 31 at 10:30 a.m.

Chair exercises on Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 10 a.m. Cards, pool, games, available daily. New members always welcome.

PV Public Library

Panther Valley Library hosts a Preschool Story Hour every Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. The event is geared for ages 3-5. Participants will enjoy fun stories, crafts, and a light snack.

The Panther Valley Library is once again offering tax prep assistance for seniors. If you are age 60 and older and qualify for the rent/property tax rebate, you can schedule an appointment to receive assistance with preparing the federal income tax form 1040 and the PA tax return.

Appointments are required and are available on March 24 from 9:15-11:45 a.m. You will be asked to put all of your tax information in a sealed envelope and drop it off at the Library at your appointed time.

Your return will be mailed to you. Call the Library at 570-645-3780 for an appointment.
