Thomas Klitsch, principal owner of Flagstaff Mountain Park in Jim Thorpe, today announced 190 acres of the property will be sold to a Lehighton man, identified as Jacob Arner, for an undisclosed amount.

The remaining 190 acres, plus the park and buildings, have not been sold, Klitsch emphasized, and are still for sale for $675,000.

The announcement ends months of speculation about the site, which became of major interest to residents last November when Klitsch announced the controversial Hare Krishna movement of West Virginia was interested in the property to build a walled “City of God” for 12,000 of its worshippers.
