Fern Ridge state police report on crashes

Fern Ridge state police reported on details on area crashes:

• Stephen V. Young, 39, of Saylorsburg, had minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 2:01 p.m. March 4 on the Effort Neola Road in Chestnuthill Township.

Police said he was not transported to an emergency facility.

Police said he was driving a 2021 Dodge Ram truck that collided with a tree.

Young was cited for the crash.

• Police said a 2008 Chevrolet was damaged when the driver lost control of it in whiteout conditions caused by blowing snow at 9:26 a.m. March 7 on Route 715 in Chestnuthill Township.

Police did not released the name of the driver but said no injuries occurred.

They said the car was southbound when it exited the road and struck a utility pole, causing moderate damages.

The driver was cited.

• Police were summoned to a crash at 11:42 a.m. March 7 along Sasson Drive in Penn Forest Township, where the driver failed to notify them of the incident.

Police said the All Points towing service was at the scene of the single-vehicle crash. During the investigation, it was determined Justin K. Lucas, 32, of Albrightsville, was driving the 1995 Honda Civic in snow conditions when it left the road and struck a tree. The car sustained moderate damages.

Police said Lucas, who was uninjured, was cited for the incident.
