The annual basket raffle to benefit the The American Cancer Society Telethon will take place this weekend at Tamaqua High School, with over 600 prizes including $1,000 in cash.

Tickets are being pre-sold for the big prizes and can also be purchased at the event, where there are hundreds of baskets to choose.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

Shop and Drop will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday.

Browsing will also take place on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Winning tickets will be pulled after that time.

You do not need to be present to win.

Magic 105.5 WMGH’s Polka Joe Manjack will be broadcasting live with The Magic Polka Machine from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

The telethon which will take place April and April 2 from noon until midnight live from Penn’s Peak and broadcast on area cable stations. The event will also be streamed on YouTube and Facebook.
