Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. 3rd St., Lehighton begins at 9:30 a.m. Communion is served by continuous line with wafer placed in your open hand, and wine or grape juice in a small cup. Gluten free wafers are available to those with allergy issues.

Masks are no longer required, however, if you are not fully vaccinated, you are encouraged to wear a mask covering the nose and mouth for your own protection and safety. In addition, wear a mask if you feel uneasy about being in a group setting. The Rev. Nancy L. Moore presides. Coffeehouse fellowship follows in Luther Hall.

In the event of inclement weather leading to cancellations, please check announcements on WFMZ-TV, or Trinity’s Facebook page. Within 2 hours of worship time, a message will be recorded on the office phone number.

Sunday Church School classes for students ages 3 through grade 6 begin at 10:45 a.m. Confirmation class for 7th and 8th grade students is at the same time.

Midweek Lenten worship with the theme “Beneath the Cross of Jesus” begins at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays through March 29. A simple soup supper begins before each worship at 6 p.m. All are invited.

For those desiring to schedule a baptism or desiring to seek membership at Trinity, please preregister by calling the church office. Pastor Moore will meet with parents for baptismal instructions on Sunday at 1 p.m. New member class guidelines will be the fourth Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Food Pantry continues to be open Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (and third Tuesday from 5:30-7 p.m.) with an outdoor drive-up setting. Residents in need who reside in the Lehighton Area School District are eligible to receive prepackaged supplemental food items. Participants must remain in their vehicle at time of pick up. Pantry volunteers will assist pedestrians/those not in vehicles.

The Trinity Thrift Store hours are Wednesdays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donation drop-offs are accepted during store hours on Wednesdays, limited to five bags or boxes. Trinity’s 150th Anniversary events are Youth-featured worship on the “Annunciation of Our Lord” March 26 at 9:30 a.m., Concert April 16 at 11:15 a.m., family movie “Jonah” at 7 p.m. on May 20; anniversary festival worship June 4 at 3 p.m. followed by a catered meal. RSVP for the sign up sheet is in narthex. Anniversary tee shirts are available for purchase by contacting the church office. The next planning meeting is March 19 at 12:15 p.m.

Christ Evangelical Free Church, 2420 Blakeslee Blvd., Dr., West in Lehighton invites you to weekly worship service beginning at 10:30 a.m.

All are invited to the following ministries on Sunday or during the week.

• Sunday School for children and youth every Sunday 11 a.m., except the first Sunday of the month.

• Sister Chix (support group for widows and divorced women): The last Sunday of each month at noon. Please bring your lunch, dessert and coffee are served. • Men’s Bible Workshop: First and third Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m.

• Food Bank: Saturday, 9 a.m.-noon. Please bring a driver’s license or some other form of ID.
