March 15, 2009 - Northwestern’s Evan Yenolevich pulls off a surprise at the Dapper Dan Classic at the University of Pittsburgh, edging Missouri’s Ryan Mango at 125 pounds. Yenolevich, fresh off a state 2A title and a career record of 167-13, pulls out a 7-6 victory at the prestigious event. Mango, the Missouri state champ with a 50-0 season record and InterMat’s top-ranked wrestler at the weight class, uses a takedown with 19 seconds left to tie the match but Yenolevich escapes with nine seconds remaining to earn the win.
