DUI/DRUG CASES

Nine separate traffic stops made by state police in Monroe and Carbon counties have resulted in people being charged with various offenses, including driving under the influence, drug possession and possession of a firearm.

Those charged include:

• Brandy Dalpe, 26, of Lake Ariel, charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia after she was stopped in a 2012 Hyundai at 2:07 a.m. Feb. 13 on Route 33 in Hamilton Township.

• A 22-year-old man from Woodside, New York, charged with possession of marijuana and driving under the influence after he was stopped in a 2011 Toyota at 1:13 a.m. Feb. 5 in Chestnuthill Township.

• A 37-year-old woman from Saylorsburg, charged with driving under the influence of narcotics after she was stopped in a 2003 Toyota at 2:53 a.m. March 2 at the intersection of Doney and Weir Lake roads in Chestnuthill Township.

• A 24-year-old Brodheadsville man, charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance after he was stopped in a 2008 Hyundai Azera at 1:22 a.m. March 2 on Route 115 in Chestnuthill Township.

• A 29-year-old Brodheadsville man, charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm and mushrooms after he was stopped in a 2006 Chevrolet at 9:34 a.m. March 2 at the intersection of Frable Road and Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township.

• A 43-year-old Blakeslee man, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after he was stopped in a 2017 Audi at 2:55 a.m. March 5 at the intersection of Route 209 and Lake Mineola Road in Chestnuthill Township.

• A 41-year-old Weatherly man, charged with driving under the influence and possession of drug equipment after he was stopped in a 2020 Toyota at 10:40 p.m. March 1 on Route 115 in Tobyhanna Township.

• A 44-year-old White Haven man, charged with driving under the influence of narcotics after he was stopped in a 2012 Chevrolet Impala at 3:19 a.m. March 3 on Route 534 in Kidder Township.

• A 33-year-old East Stroudsburg man is facing drug possession and driving under the influence charges after a traffic stop at 6:51 p.m. Feb. 15.

Police said they stopped the man while he was driving a 2009 BMW at the intersection of Kunkletown Road and Weinhart Street in Ross Township, after which time they found him to be under the influence and in possession of methamphetamine and cocaine.

Police did not identify the people charged.

Dalpe was arrested by state police at the Stroudsburg barracks while the other seven drivers were arrested by state police from the Fern Ridge barracks.
