Letter to the Editor: Not buying school director’s apology

I watched the School Board workshop in which Mr. Paules references in his “apology” to Mr. Mazepa and I have to say I am questioning this apology as being authentic. Mr. Paules raised his hand on three occasions at the end of the meeting. He was adamant to get his pitch in before the end of the meeting. He was practically jumping out of his chair. His speech was planned and beyond rude. He even turned and pointed at Mr. Mazepa to say, “I’m talking about you, Brandon.” Mr. Paules owns his own business and isn’t used to dealing with people? Why, sir, are you on the school board where it is an obligation not only to “deal” with people but also to work WITH them as a team? No one expects everyone to have the same opinions but it is expected to treat your colleagues with respect. You learn that in kindergarten, so I am not sure what “world” you think you live in now. Those rules have not changed. There is no excuse for this behavior. None. Is this apology in response to the petition that is being sent around about his behavior, the upcoming election, or perhaps a defamation of character lawsuit? Mr. Paules embarrassed not only Mr. Mazepa, but he embarrassed the Board as well as our community with his faux furry fable sign and his unprofessional behavior in a public forum. Shame on him.

As for saving money? He would rather save money for the football field in 5 years, than on a bathroom for females to use after a wrestling match. That is quite telling.
