Schuylkill County President Judge James J. Curran today handed down a decision favoring annexation of Rahn Township by the Borough of Tamaqua.

The long legal fight over the annexation issue, however, apparently isn’t over.

Attorney Joseph Semasek, solicitor for the Rahn Township Board of Supervisors, said he will file the ruling in the Superior Court of Pennsylvania based on an argument that the decision is unconditional.

A majority of the Rahn Township residents signed petitions favoring the annexation.
