Carbon County Veterans Affairs has announced upcoming events.

Vietnam Veterans luncheon

A National Vietnam War Veterans Day luncheon will be held at noon on March 28 at the Lehighton American Legion.

The event is open to all veterans who served between Nov. 1, 1955 to May 15, 1975 and is hosted by Together with Veterans NEPA.

RSVPs are required by March 21 by calling the Carbon County Veterans Affairs office at 570-325-3986 or emailing cleclair@carboncounty.net.

Caregiver yoga

The Elizabeth Dole Foundation Hidden Heroes will hold a veteran caregiver yoga class at 10:30 a.m. on April 4.

The class is for all military caregivers who support a service member or veteran in managing medication, coordinating medical appointments, providing emotional and physical support, assisting with activities of daily living and advocating for proper treatment.

The class will be held at the Summit Hill Community Center and will be a chair yoga class.

It aims to help caregivers meet other veteran caregivers, as well as provide information on resources and programs that are available to support caregivers.
