Camelback Resort in Tannersville will hold its annual Pond Skimming on Saturday.

The event is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration starts at 10 a.m. and is free.

Participants must be 18 years or older and have lift tickets. The skimming takes place from 11 a.m. to noon. Awards and live music will follow.

Contestants - many in creative and always amusing costumes - come on their skis (no poles), snowboards and floaties to see who can accomplish the most impressive jumps and major splashes across the pond.

Judges determine “Best Skim” and the “Best Costume.” A live band and DJ emceed by Gary in the Morning are stationed on the stage. There will be ski vendors, food trucks and beer for sale.

Season passes will be awarded to winners of best skim, best costume and best splash.
