State Rep. Jamie Barton, R-Berks/Schuylkill, is offering veterans assistance hours each month at his Tamaqua office.

The next assistance hours are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, March 23, at 202 E. Broad St.

Services for veterans and their dependents include assistance with compensation, pension and death benefits, education and health care, plus other benefits. Veterans do not need a membership with the American Legion to receive these services.
