Dr. Rudolfo DiMaanio and his wife, Dr. Remedios DiMaanio, and their four children, moved from Lansford yesterday to Battle Creek, Michigan.

More than a dozen organizations in the Panther Valley appealed to the doctors to remain in the community, but they explained in a letter to the Lansford Borough Council last week that they already had committed themselves to make the move to Michigan.

The husband and wife team came to Lansford from Wilmington, Delaware, in September, 1968, and established their offices in the basement of their home at Coal and Abbott streets.

Dr. Rudolfo plans to become a member of the staff at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Battle Creek.
